Newborn Session Style Guide | Dusty Blue for Boys

I have always had a vision to help make newborn photographer's jobs easier. Everything we do at Sweet Baby Photo Props revolves around making your job easier. It started with our products. Our layering bundles and matching backdrop sets help to streamline the styling process and take the stress out of session set ups, but I wanted to take it a step further. That is how this blog came to be! When I had the idea of Session Style Guides, I was so excited because it fit right into our mission and I knew they would be so helpful for you! 

So here is our very first Session Style Guide! I am starting with Dusty Blue because we are currently in the dead of winter and I feel like Dusty Blue is the perfect winter color, but it is also a classic newborn photography color and can be used all year round on both boys and girls!

For a super simple baby photo session, you can start with just a Backdrop Set and a Layering Bundle. Our Layering Bundles come with a layering piece, 2 coordinating baby wraps, and headwear. Layering bundles can help you style sessions quickly and come with all you need! So I usually start with a bundle when I am styling my sessions. In this case, we will start with the Dusty Blue Layering Bundle. 

This prop bundle can be used in so many different ways! Put the chunky knit blanket on a bed, in a bowl, in a bucket, or right on a backdrop. Then choose which wrap to wrap the baby in. You can just use one wrap or wrap the baby in one and drape the other one underneath baby. Take some images without a hat and then add the hat for some variety in the same pose.

Next, add a Dusty Blue Dreamy Soft Backdrop along with the matching wrap and hat. You can do all of your table/beanbag poses with this backdrop, adding the accessories throughout poses as needed.

There are so many different options with just these few Dusty Blue Newborn Photography Props. Stick to a simple color palette or add a complementing color for more set up options. We love white and grey for neutral accent colors, or throw some navy or greens in there for more color.
